Ingredients:
Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
Beat the butter, granulated sugar and oil in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light in color and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time, then beat in the vanilla until combined.
Alternate folding the flour mixture and milk into the batter with a spatula, adding the flour in 3 additions and the milk in 2, starting and ending with the flour, until just smooth. Add the sprinkles and fold 3 or 4 times until just blended to prevent the colors from bleeding too much. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Bake the cakes on the same oven rack, rotating the pans about halfway if they seem to be browning unevenly, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool in the pans about 10 minutes, then turn out onto cooling racks and let cool completely.
1. In medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and butter with spoon or electric mixer on low speed. Stir in vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the milk.
2.Gradually beat in just enough remaining milk to make frosting smooth and spreadable. If frosting is too thick, beat in more milk, a few drops at a time. If frosting becomes too thin, beat in a small amount of powdered sugar.
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
I used fondant to make the keysm joystick, etc., I used chocolate for the paddles
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for the pans
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pans
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon fine salt
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
5 large eggs, at room temperature
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles ( I used 4 because why not)
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pans
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon fine salt
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
5 large eggs, at room temperature
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles ( I used 4 because why not)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter the bottoms and sides of cake pans; dust with flour, then tap out the excess. (I sprayed my pans with non stick spray and put parchment paper for easy clean up)Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.

Buttercream Frosting:
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
2.Gradually beat in just enough remaining milk to make frosting smooth and spreadable. If frosting is too thick, beat in more milk, a few drops at a time. If frosting becomes too thin, beat in a small amount of powdered sugar.
Chocolate Coffee Ganache: I used Ina Garten's recipe because of the coffee in it
8 ounces good semisweet chocolate chips1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
Warm the heavy cream up on the stove top until right before it boils ( you will see bubbles around the edges) Pour the cream over the chocolate chips and coffee granules. Let stand for 2 minutes and then mix it up until completely combined.
Below is the process of putting it together:
I used fondant to make the keysm joystick, etc., I used chocolate for the paddles
Above: Once the cakes all cooled, I stacked them, (3 layers) frosted in between each layer, and then cut out the controller shape. I used a toothpick to "draw" the controller on the cake then cut it out. I rounded it out after and fixed anything else to make it look as even as possible. Then I made chocolate ganache and coated it. Here is the first coating:
I put it into the fridge for an hour or more if you would like then coated it with another layer of ganache to make it look as flawless as possible. I would've coated it with fondant but I was not successful in making a nice piece to use.
Once it dried, I patched up anything else that needed to be fixed and added the pieces that I made with fondant
This is how it came out completed. I did some research in terms of how to make it. I watched a few videos just to make sure I made it as well as I possibly could. It was really fun to make.
